Declaration on accessibility

We endeavour to make our website accessible in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG) as amended to implement the European Accessibility Directive (RL 2019/882) on the accessibility requirements for products and services.

This accessibility statement applies to www.mavida.at.

The guideline for accessible web content - WCAG 2.2 AA has been complied with as far as possible. We are continuously working to identify and remove existing barriers.

Current status

Our website is currently only partially accessible. Some content and functions do not yet fully fulfill the requirements of WCAG 2.2 AA.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

  • Headings (H1) sometimes extend beyond the edge of the screen on mobile devices, resulting in unwanted horizontal scrolling. (Violation of WCAG criterion 1.4.10)
  • There are no skip links that allow quick navigation to central areas of the page. (Violation of WCAG criterion 2.4.1)
  • The purpose of some links is unclear (e.g. ‘discover’), as the purpose is not clearly recognisable in context. (Violation of WCAG criterion 2.4.4)
  • The target size of the navigation points in the slider is too small, which impairs usability. (Violation of WCAG criterion 2.5.5 and 2.5.8)
  • Some images lack alternative text, or the existing alt text is not meaningful or does not describe the image content correctly. (Violation of WCAG criterion 1.1.1)
  • Slider controls are partially labelled in English (Violation of WCAG criterion 1.1.1)

Disproportionate burden

Some of the contrasts on the website - particularly in texts, labelling and various buttons - do not currently meet the requirements of the WCAG 2.2 AA guideline. This particularly affects the legibility of content for users with visual impairments. The complete adaptation of these elements is currently associated with a disproportionately high effort, as the corporate design of the Mavida is very difficult to reconcile with the accessibility requirements.

The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

  • We cannot guarantee accessibility for third-party content (e.g. Chat, Wetterwidget, Gäste-Club, …) that is beyond our control.

Status of the declaration

This declaration was created on November 17th, 2025 and on the basis of an assessment carried out by a third party (BlueChip Software GmbH).

The assessment of the compatibility of the website with the BaFG was carried out in the form of a test in accordance with WCAG 2.2 AA. The home page, room and package pages, customised forms and the available content elements such as teasers, image blocks and sliders were checked.
